Founded in 2022 in response to growing mental health challenges among youth in Northwest Florida, Storytelling Solutions of America was created to address the gap of young people struggling with mental health, who often lack safe spaces, language, and access to care.

SSA integrates storytelling, faith, creative expression, and mental health education to reduce stigma, build resilience, and connect youth and families to community-based resources.

Since receiving 501(c)(3) status in August 2022, SSA has grown from a grassroots initiative into a trusted community partner, hosting annual Youth Mental Health Summits and monthly It’s Okay To Not Be Okay (IOTNBO) community events.
