Since 2012, Street Medicine Detroit (SMD) has worked to bring compassionate, patient-centered healthcare directly to individuals experiencing houselessness throughout Detroit.

What began as a student-led effort at Wayne State University School of Medicine has grown into a lasting commitment to meeting patients where they are. Every street run, patient interaction, and year of service has been made possible by the students, alumni, volunteers, and supporters who believe in this mission.

To honor where it all began, we’re excited to introduce The 2012 Club.

The 2012 Club invites alumni and supporters to continue SMD’s legacy through a recurring gift of $20.12 per month, in recognition of the year Street Medicine Detroit was founded. One-time gifts of any amount are also deeply appreciated.

Your support directly helps provide medications, hygiene and personal care items, diagnostic materials, supplies for street runs, and other essential resources used in ongoing patient care.

A gift of $20.12 a month can help provide SMD with a reliable foundation to continue caring for our Detroit community year after year.
