Suburban Life - COVID-19 Local News Fund

Give to support Suburban Life as we cover the coronavirus crisis in our communities.

Local news needs your support

The COVID-19 pandemic has brought the local economy to a near standstill. Revenue from advertising has gone with it. It presents a new set of financial challenges to local, family-owned newspapers like Suburban Life. Funding that hasn’t been lost to giant corporations like Facebook and Google has been largely lost to the pandemic.

We at Suburban Life are fighting for our own survival, while at the same time making important local news and information on a public health crisis open for you to read.

It’s an unprecedented time. If you believe local news and information is critical to your community, please donate to this new fund to help keep us bringing you the news you need. Contributions to this fund go directly to helping pay for news resources to cover how the coronavirus impacts the communities we serve. It ensures we have the staff needed to bring you the latest COVID-19 updates, highlight what our community is doing in response, what our local medical workers have been called to do, and how we’ll ultimately pull out of this.

We’ve worked tirelessly since the start of this pandemic to be there for our communities as a reliable source of truth, just as we have with our investigative work and coverage of local government. Your contribution helps us continue that mission.

All donations to this fund are tax deductible. Thank you for your support of Suburban Life during this period.

So relieved to learn of Denise’s valuable help. I have been contributing regularly to Fish, through St. Andrew’s for years, but wondered how to help, now that we are not having services at church. I also saw homeless persons at Main St. station & the parking ramp, before I retired last summer, & wondered how I could help. This is the answer. As I have moved from DG, & am Staying Home as advised, I will make a financial donation. Thanks for your good work, Denise!
