Help Us Raise $30,000 to Support 30 Emerging Mental Health Professionals

Behind every strong community is a workforce that is supported, prepared, and well.

Serenity Village Developments has launched an initiative to support 30 interns and early-career professionals entering the mental health and social service workforce—equipping them with tools to prevent burnout, manage stress, and avoid compounded trauma while serving others.

These are the individuals on the front lines of care.
Before they can sustain others, they must be sustained themselves.

🚨 WHY THIS MATTERS

Early-career professionals in mental health and social services often face the following:

• High emotional demands with limited support
• Exposure to trauma without adequate coping tools
• Burnout within the first few years of service
• Lack of training in emotional regulation and financial stability

Without intervention, we risk losing the very people our communities depend on.

This initiative ensures they are not only trained but also supported, equipped, and prepared to thrive.

Each participant will receive a comprehensive training experience designed to strengthen both professional capacity and personal wellness:

• Adult Mental Health First Aid (MHFA)
• Youth Mental Health First Aid (MHFA)
• Older Adult Mental Health First Aid (MHFA)
• QPR Suicide Prevention Gatekeeper Training

Participants will learn to recognize and respond to mental health challenges—while also protecting their own well-being.

These trainings focus on:
• Emotional regulation in high-stress environments
• Boundary setting and self-awareness
• Navigating workplace dynamics and client relationships
• Preventing emotional overload and compassion fatigue

💰 Financial Wellness & Stability

• Financial Wellness 101: Learning Money EQ™

Financial stress is one of the leading contributors to burnout. This training helps participants:
• Build healthy financial habits
• Develop confidence in managing income and expenses
• Reduce financial anxiety that impacts professional performance
