Children do not choose the homes they are born into.

When a parent is lost to addiction, the child is left to make sense of something grown adults can’t — and often loses the whole life they knew along with that parent. There is help for people struggling with addiction. For the children left behind, there has been almost nothing.

That is the gap Project Noelle fills. It began in 2017, with one family’s loss and a single promise: that no child would face that morning alone. Today our volunteers carry that promise across 43 counties in three states — holiday gifts, grief support, and the steady presence of an adult who shows up. We have reached more than 10,000 children, and we have never asked a family for a dime.

Your gift goes straight to a child: the present under the tree, the grief group where a kid finally hears “me too,” the ordinary moments that tell a child they still matter. We run the entire mission on an annual budget of $101,299 — a measure of how far this community makes every gift stretch.
