When Naomi was a girl in Kenya, the nearest school was a five mile walk away. Her father gave his own land so a kindergarten could be built closer to home. That small school grew into a full elementary school, and the girl who watched it rise grew up to earn her degree in education and teach within those same walls.

Global Abiding Hope carries that vision forward.

We are a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded and led by Dr. Naomi Karaya, a Kenyan born educator with more than thirty years in the classroom. We work with a school and its surrounding community in rural Kenya, and with families here in metro Atlanta.

What your giving supports:

Food. Flour, rice, cooking oil, and fresh produce for families, and hot meals served at the school kitchen.
Clean water. A village water point with taps, so families and students can reach water close to home even through a drought.
Shoes and clothing. For many children, their first pair of shoes.
Schools and literacy. Books, supplies, and classrooms that keep the weather out of a lesson.
