The Early Plate Project is working to build a better food system for our youngest children in Sonoma County by making fresh, locally grown food more accessible to early childhood programs while supporting the farmers and producers who grow food in our communities.

We believe high-quality food should be part of high-quality early childhood education. But for many early childhood programs, limited food budgets and rising costs make serving fresh, local food difficult. At the same time, local farmers need reliable markets and communities that value the food they grow.

The Early Plate Project brings these needs together.

Your donation will help us launch our Farm to Early Care and Education program and help make local food more affordable for early childhood programs. Our goal is simple: more local food served to young children and more of the money spent on that food staying with the farmers and producers in our communities.

There is also value in knowing where our food comes from. A stronger local food system can bring early childhood programs closer to the people who grow their food, create greater transparency around how food reaches children, and strengthen our local food supply.

This work is more than what is on a child's plate. We are creating a food system that values children, supports local farmers, and strengthens the communities we share.

Every contribution helps bring fresh, locally grown food to more young children while supporting the people who grow it.

Join us in building a better food system for children from the very beginning.
