Stairway for Heroes is a Tampa Bay 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to Building a Community Where No Veteran Stands Alone.

Our mission is centered on connection, purpose, wellness, and community. Through our Veteran Golf Program, V.E.T.S. gatherings, community events, outreach, and direct support, we create opportunities for veterans and the people who stand beside them to build meaningful relationships and remain connected long after military service ends. 🇺🇸🤝

💙 Our Impact

Our impact is measured in more than attendance numbers. It is found in the veteran who walks into an event not knowing anyone and leaves having made a new connection. It is in the golfer who discovers camaraderie again, the spouse or family member who realizes they are part of the community too, and the veteran who understands that there are still people standing beside them after military service ends. ❤️

Throughout the year, our V.E.T.S. gatherings and community events regularly bring together 30 or more veterans, families, friends, and supporters at a time. Some gatherings have grown considerably larger, including an event at Seminole Hard Rock that brought approximately 100 members of the veteran community together in one evening. 🤝🇺🇸

Our major fundraising events create another opportunity to bring the veteran and civilian communities together around the mission. Our annual golf tournament welcomes more than 120 golfers, while Clays for Heroes brings together more than 50 shooters and participants. ⛳️🎯

These events do more than raise funds. They create conversations, friendships, partnerships, and opportunities for people who may otherwise never have met to become part of the Stairway for Heroes community. ❤️🤍💙

Our Veteran Golf Program continues that connection throughout the year by providing veterans with equipment, professional instruction, and opportunities to play alongside other veterans and community supporters. ⛳️

For us, golf is the vehicle. Connection is the purpose. 🤝

While Tampa Bay is our home, the impact of Stairway for Heroes is already reaching beyond our immediate community. We have connected with a veteran in South Carolina and had the privilege of helping a World War II veteran from Troy, Texas. 🇺🇸

Experiences like these remind us that serving a veteran sometimes begins simply by being willing to answer when someone reaches out for help. ❤️

⭐ There Is So Much More We Want to Do

We want to create more opportunities for our veterans, expand meaningful programs for spouses and families, strengthen the community surrounding those who served, and develop new ways to support veteran families for generations to come. 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦🇺🇸

One of those dreams is to eventually help children of veterans pursue education and skilled trades through grants and other opportunities. 🎓🛠️

There are many other ideas still ahead of us. Programs, experiences, partnerships, and ways of serving that have not yet been built.

We trust that God will continue to place the right people, resources, partnerships, and opportunities around Stairway for Heroes so that we can continue answering those needs as they arise. 🙏❤️
