Fifty years ago, the Highlander sound began at McCullough. Today it carries on at The Woodlands High School. To mark 50 years of tradition, 1976 to 2026, we are launching 50 for 50: a $50 gift to honor five decades of our band and guard. Whether you marched, cheered from the stands, or just love this program, your $50 helps keep the legacy going for the students on the field today. Gifts are tax-deductible: the Booster Club is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit.

Maybe you remember summer band in the July heat, the first full-band hit of a new show, the long bus rides to Saturday competitions, and the wait for scores. Maybe you remember the trip to Indianapolis. Maybe you are watching your own student live it right now. From McCullough to TWHS, that Highlander legacy has held for fifty years, carried by families and alumni who never really left the band behind.

The students today chase the same standard that made this one of the best programs in the country, including a national championship at BOA Grand Nationals and WGI World Champions. What they need has not changed much: instruments, uniforms, equipment, buses and a truck for a very large group, meals on competition days, and the many costs that student fees and school funding do not fully cover.
