2024 has been a fantastic year of growth for CUES. We've had 54 divers join us as members, held a dozen social events, including buddy checks, pool parties, and quarry days, and expanded to two more pools, including UIC in Chicago. We're so excited to enter our 5th year, but we need support as we keep diving deeper.

CUES is funded by the generous donations of our supporters, including our gear. Our fleet of wetsuits, regulators, BCDs, and tanks have all been donated or purchased second-hand, and they're starting to show their age after four years of regular use. Our year-end ask is for funding to get our gear back into shape ahead of the 2025 dive season, a goal of $1500 to help purchase new wetsuits and tanks, service regulators, and help pay for our gear storage.

Your donation supports:

Inclusive wetsuit sizing for pool suits (3mm) and quarry suits (7mm).
Regulator maintenance on our fleet of student regulators.
New tanks. Many of our tanks are over 35 years old and are getting too old to fill safely.
Storage costs — keeping a fleet of working gear for our students requires some off-site storage, and it's one of the largest recurring costs we have as an organization.
