Support U.S. Presidential Scholars Foundation
Thank you for donating to U.S. Presidential Scholars Foundation! At the sunset of the 60th year of the U.S. Presidential Scholars Program, your donation is not just a commitment to raising funds; it’s support for uniting our community and investing in the future of our Scholar alumni.
You might be wondering how your support will be used. Here are four key ways:
-
To Ramp Up Alumni Engagement: We will aim to increase alumni engagement in 2026 by hosting meetups in various cities, revamping our monthly Medallion newsletters, and inviting more alumni to join working committees. Reviving the in-person National Recognition Program (NRP) is especially important for ensuring the long-term integrity and strength of the Presidential Scholars Program.
-
To Expand Our Leadership: We will soon recruit our second class of Young Scholars Council (YSC) members to continue diversifying our perspectives and providing young Scholars with expanded leadership opportunities within our organization.
-
To Increase Our Seed Grants Program: Our goal is to increase the total amount of grants awarded in 2026 to support more impactful projects created by Scholar alumni that otherwise might go unfunded. The Seed Grant Program is a critical component of the Foundation’s work and a direct response to the question that President Lyndon B. Johnson asked the 1967 Scholars at their medallion ceremony –What can you (Scholar alumni) do to help others in your community, country, and the world?
-
To Grow Day-to-Day Operations: As the role the Foundation plays in supporting current Scholars has grown in light of losing the in-person National Recognition Program, the Board of Directors is committed to raising enough money to eventually hire additional Foundation staff and further expand our organization’s capacity to support professional development services, alumni connection activities, and advocacy efforts for the restoration of the in-person NRP.
