Community Support of Birth in Color RVA

Did you know that, in the US, Black people are 3-4x more likely to die during childbirth than white people? 

At Birth in Color RVA, we're doing something about it. Watch this short video to learn about the work of our doulas.

Birth in Color RVA is a birth, policy, and advocacy non-profit focused on raising awareness surrounding maternal health and reproductive justice. We provide services for birthing people and want to change the narrative of maternal health, specifically for people of color, not only in Richmond but around the state of Virginia.

We're glad to be joining Pinky's to wrap up our last few days of Black Maternal Health Week and celebrate the start of spring with our community!
