We’ve been quietly waiting on our hearing results and the scheduling of our election. Contrastingly, Creature has decided to take their Union busting to a whole new level.
Yesterday we filed our fourth ULP charge against Creature Comforts for their blatant violation of two employees’ NLRA Section 7 rights. In a series of events starting last Friday, Creature has suspended two known union leaders without providing detail of the complaints against them, been unwilling to share any details with the staff at large, tried to silence those employees and others who are speaking up, and employed a police presence at employees’ homes and work spaces.
BUG members are not going to stand for this extreme attack on our rights, our friends, our family, our community. We have 3 important demands for Creature Comforts, and more specifically CEO Chris Herron:
1. Immediately reinstate the two employees
2. Provide a public apology to the employees and the company at large
3. Stop Union busting
