Black people in New Hampshire often experience deep isolation, invisibility, and disconnection from culture and community.

Since 2020, the BWINH Collective has been creating spaces where Black people can gather, reconnect, learn, heal, organize, rest, celebrate culture, and build together.

From cultural events and cooperative education to community discussions, youth programming, mutual aid, and healing-centered spaces, we are building the kind of community many of us wish existed when we first arrived here.

Your monthly support helps sustain:

Healing-centered and educational programming
Black history and cultural preservation work
Youth and family programming
Community outreach and organizing
Accessibility support for community members
Emergency community care when capacity allows
Supplies, technology, insurance, and operational costs that keep the work going

Most of this work is still powered by volunteers and community members balancing jobs, caregiving, disabilities, and everyday life while trying to build something our community deserves.

Grants are often restricted, temporary, and unpredictable.

Monthly support gives us the flexibility to respond to community needs in real time while sustaining the day-to-day work of building Black community in New Hampshire.

Too often, grassroots Black-led work is expected to operate with little support while carrying enormous community needs. Monthly sustainers help us build something more stable, rooted, and long-term
