The 1% Challenge

The world gave Cabo Verde a 1% chance.

Yet throughout this World Cup journey, they have shown the world what can happen when people believe in themselves, work hard, stay united, and refuse to give up on their dreams.

At SABURA Youth Programs, we see that same spirit in our youth every day.

For more than a decade, SABURA has worked to engage, educate, and empower young people through culturally responsive programs that build confidence, leadership, academic success, and pride in who they are.

This summer, we hope to serve more than 150 youth through:

🤝 Mentoring & Social-Emotional Learning
🌍 Cultural Pride & Community Connection

Like the World Cup, we celebrate the power of diversity.

While many of our youth proudly share Cape Verdean roots, our programs welcome and support young people and families from many backgrounds, including Haitian, Jamaican, Latino, African, and American communities.

We believe every child deserves the opportunity to dream big, discover their strengths, and reach their full potential.
