We’re survivors, whistleblowers, and organizers here in solidarity with an anonymous Indy community member who has been impacted by abuse in Indiana Democratic politics.

How'd we get here, you ask?

Well, despite widespread media reports of systemic workplace abuse, domestic violence, and sexual abuse, the Indiana Democratic Party, Indianapolis City-County Council, and Mayor Joe Hogsett are still failing to protect their own workers. Meanwhile, those in power have continued to re-victimize people who speak out, going as far as assassinating survivors' characters and even ordering physical attacks on whistleblowers.

That's why we've not only been organizing to change these systems and fight for better ones, but we're also showing up for survivors and whistleblowers who need help right now, today.

The reality is that surviving abuse is expensive. Many survivors do not have our material needs met.

Plus, things like legal fees, medical bills, and security costs can become exponentially higher when you speak out about what happened to you, especially if your abuser has political power.

What happens when you combine all of that with the rising costs of food and housing, stagnant wages, and state laws that make it easy for landlords extort renters?

You've got a recipe for becoming unhoused.

No matter how hard you work at your full-time job.

No matter how much you play by the rules.

All survivors deserve to feel safe at home.
