As the winter season approaches, we find ourselves reflecting on the sacred work that continues at Makhosi Foundation. Over the past several years, your generosity has helped us keep our doors open, tend our altars, and make ancestral teachings accessible to those seeking healing, guidance, and remembrance.

This year, we are not in crisis. We are steady. And it is from this place of steadiness that we invite you to help us sustain the fire through the winter.

Our goal is to raise $12,500 by the end of winter to ensure that the unseen work of the temple — the prayers, the ceremonial healing, the tending of earth and altar, the mentorship of initiates — continues to be held with integrity and care. These offerings are not fully covered by programs, yet they are the very roots that nourish all that we do.

How We’re Fundraising This Year

To weave sustainability with celebration, we are launching a series of one-hour workshops led by our alumni leaders. These beloved community members will be sharing teachings in alignment with ancestral wisdom — carrying forward the light of the temple in their own unique voices.
