Pigeon River Bikes envisions a Haywood County, North Carolina where everyone has access to and can maintain a bicycle. We see a county-wide culture of safe and convenient bicycling, where the benefits of cycling are vallued and experienced by all. Our goal is to provide bicycles and the knowledge, space and tools for maintaining them and to support the interests of everyone in Haywood County who rides a bicycle.

We will train on repair and maintenace, provide tools and parts, and rebuild used bicycles to distribute to those in need.

We're advocating access to a low-cost mode of transportation that will enable less expensive travel. We want to encourage people to travel to work and shop locally. We'll support those who want to ride since the health benefits of doing so are well-documented. 

Pigeon River Bikes will empower people with a less expensive means of bike maintenance versus charge for labor and parts at traditional shops.
