Dear friend,

Thank you for supporting the Svet Peace Project.

Svet began in December 2023 with almost nothing: two students, a handful of books, and a hope that young people might sit together, even across countries at war, and find something shared and human. We believed peace starts in small rooms, in real conversation.

Our college gave us a summer stipend that covered basic living costs, but the work itself, the seminars, the outreach, the writing, the building, was entirely unpaid. For two years we kept it going because we loved it and believed in what it could become. The Projects for Peace grant we got in 2024 went entirely into running courses and paying teachers.

That's why your gift matters so much to us. It tells us that the light (our name Svet comes from the Slavic word for light) is seen by someone else too.

Thanks to supporters like you, we hit our first full year's goal of $65,000. For two years this was work we did late at night, after everything else. Today it's work we get to do full time.

Your gift goes toward our second year, a budget of $122,100 to keep growing across New Mexico and around the world.

Thank you again for being part of this with us.

If you'd like to follow how Svet grows, we'd be grateful to stay connected with you on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/svetpeaceorg

With warmth and gratitude, Amir & Kanstantsin
