Swan Day

Join us at the as we celebrate Swan Day. Come explore the exhibit hall, view a special swan exhibit, participate in our nature trail activity, visit the nature store for a free swan take home craft, enjoy live bird presentations, or take a photography class. Tickets are free! Donations to the Friends of the Bear River Refuge are used to support Refuge projects as well as Refuge educational programs. Thank you! **We will be offering two different live bird presentations. At 10:00 am Ogden Nature Center will be at the Refuge for an American kestrel Presentation. Brian Ferguson will be teaching a photography class from 11:30 am to 12;30 pm. At 1:00 pm HawkWatch International will be presenting a Peregrine Falcon and a Swainson's hawk. We will announce more information as it becomes available. Tickets are required to see the live bird presentations and attend the photography class. Everyone two and older must have a ticket to attend the event. Tickets are issued on a first come first serve basis.
Story
The Friends of the Bear River Refuge are devoted to the promotion, appreciation, and conservation of the wildlife, birds, and habitat of the Bear River Migratory Bird Refuge. We operate the Avocet Corner Bookstore out of the James V. Hansen Wildlife Education Center. All proceeds from the bookstore are used to help fund refuge projects and educational programs.
