Synchromy is one of the world's only composer support organizations, putting the needs of emerging composers first. Our mission is to elevate underrepresented Los Angeles county-based composers and expand the scope of new music through commissions, collaborations, and community engagement. By reimagining what concerts look like, we reach out to adventurous new artists and audiences.
At Synchromy, we go beyond performances: we create deep, lasting impact for composers, communities, and audiences. Your donation supports the development of new works and the presentation of multisensory performances in public spaces, all of which reflect our world today. Our opera workshops have launched careers, leading to tenure-track positions, faculty appointments, and advanced degrees for participating artists. We don’t just commission works, we advocate for them, ensuring each piece is performed multiple times and reaches audiences beyond its premiere. Through partnerships with outside organizations like Sally Ride Science, The International Bird Rescue, and the Wende Museum of the Cold War, we engage youth, families, and historically underrepresented communities with programming that connects music to science, environment, and current events.
Your gift helps us offer mentorship and exposure to new artists and gather real-time feedback from audience members (like you!) to shape art that resonates. Help us keep new music alive, visible, and vibrant in Los Angeles and beyond. Join us in building a future where music reflects the richness and complexity of our communities.
