As we look ahead to 2026, The Shore Sanctuary is asking for community support to help us start the year strong.

We know times are tight, truly. 2025 was a challenging year for many, and we never want to add pressure or be a burden. At the same time, responsible care means planning ahead for the animals who depend on us every single day.

Each January, our sanctuary residents receive their annual bloodwork, wellness exams and vaccinations. This one essential day of care helps ensure everyone stays healthy and protected for the year ahead. The cost for this visit is significant — between $4,000–$5,000 — but it is non-negotiable when it comes to their wellbeing.

We understand that annual exams and vaccinations aren’t as exciting as new rescues, but they are vital to our residents care and the health of our sanctuary.

Over the past five years, we’ve created a truly magical sanctuary—a place focused entirely on medical needs rescue and ongoing care—and our accomplishments have far exceeded our expectations. This was only possible because of YOU, our incredible community.

Every animal that has found their way here, every medical journey they’ve been through, and every moment of peace they now enjoy—our supporters have been a part of that journey
