Moringa Farm Project

OBey Foundation has been growing moringa trees for over 10 years now for the purpose of promoting wellness in areas where the foundation has a presence. The Moringa tree is a tropical tree which is considered a superfood and can survive droughts. The leaves can be ground into powder which provides the body with most of the nutrients and antioxidants needed for healthy living. OBey conducts community seminars throughout the year in Ghana about moringa to promote healthy living and cooking. We give seedlings to all community members in attendance each time we conduct these seminars at no cost to encourage growing moringa trees at each household. We also process leaves into powder and tea leaves for sale to sustain the farm operations and our Ghana mission. We also process the seeds into moringa seed oil which is good for face, hair, body, and healthy cooking.

We need your support to expand our moringa tree planting from 2 acres to 5 acres of trees. This will require a more elaborate irrigation system to include a well, a water pump, drip tape irrigation system, and power equipment to prepare the planting rows. We will also repurpose our current farmhouse into a moringa powder and oil processing facility. This will allow us to increase our inventory and cut down on processing costs by doing it all in- house. To address this issue, we require a total funding of $5,000.00 US Dollars.
