On February 24, 2022, Russia launched a full-scale military invasion of Ukraine. In one month of war, Ukrainians showed to the world their courage and ability to defend. Still, casualties are high and are growing every day. Ukraine needs the world's continued support.

What we hear first-hand from partners on the ground is that there is a continued demand for tactical first aid supplies in Ukraine. This includes items like fully packed first aid kits, tourniquets, PPE, bandages. A tourniquet is a device that is placed around a bleeding arm or leg. Tourniquets work by squeezing large blood vessels, which helps stop blood loss. They have proven immensely valuable in saving life and limbs.

There is a big supply shortage in Europe and North America due to many volunteer initiatives that swiftly bought out these items to send to Ukraine. But there are a few remaining suppliers with available stock of tourniquets in Canada and this fundraiser is aimed at raising funds for these items. Any additional funds raised will be donated to a trusted volunteer initiative on the ground, which assembles first aid kids for Ukraine's defenders.

This fundraiser is being run in partnership with Maple Hope Foundation (MHF), a registered Canadian Non-for-Profit Organization, raising funds to support Ukrainians as they resist Russia’s unprovoked invasion. MHF focuses on three critical areas: medical support, refugee women and children, and non-lethal supplies for the front line defenders (food, protection equipment, communication devices, clothes). MHF is a volunteer-run organization - 100% of all donations go to the listed programs. Please note that suggested donations are priced in USD.

MHF has been delivering aid to Ukraine since the first days of Russia's invasion through on-the-ground volunteers in Romania. They have delivered more than $18,000 worth of medicine and tourniquets to hospitals in need and to Ukraine's defenders.
