Tahoe Literary Festival

The Tahoe Literary Festival is a community-driven celebration of storytelling, ideas and creative expression in the Tahoe-Truckee region. Each year, our events bring together nationally recognized authors, regional writers, poets, educators and readers for inspiring conversations, workshops, readings and literary experiences.

Our goal is to make literature accessible to everyone. The Tahoe Literary Festival in October includes free and low-cost programs, student and educator access, and opportunities for emerging voices to share their work alongside established authors.

Community support makes this possible. Donations help fund author appearances, venue costs, student scholarships, youth writing programs and free community events that strengthen the cultural life of the Tahoe-Truckee region.
