Tails for Toby is a fund in honor of a sweet pup who was beloved by our Co-Founder, Madison, and Program Manager of Adoptions, Rachel. Every dollar of this fund goes towards families in need of emergency food, supplies, or medical care for a dog in their care. 

Toby was saved by Madison, through a partnership she had with a shelter, and Rachel fostered him through another organization before she joined Laila's Legacy. He fit in beautifully with Rachel's pack and was sweet as can be to every human and creature he met. He was adopted shortly into his time in foster and off he went. Unfortunately, it was discovered that Toby passed away due to malnutrition because his owner was unable to afford food or find help. 

While there is nothing to fill the heartbreak our team has felt knowing this sweet boy passed away we knew we had to ensure this never happened again. So we created Tails for Toby. This fund will enable Laila's Legacy to purchase food, supplies, and support basic veterinary costs like rabies vaccinations or monthly preventatives to owners in need. 

As little as $50 could provide food for a month for one dog and as low as $25 a month could provide basic vaccinations and preventatives for one dog. 

We'll never let finances stop us from supporting our animals and the community around us but we need YOUR help to continue funding what they need. Furthermore, your financial support to Tails for Toby means we can give back to the community and prevent any other animals facing the future Toby did.
