Bom dia galera! Tambores e Samba is raising $5,000 so we can keep bringing

Brazilian music and rhythms to our community. 🤩🥁🥳

Led by Abel Damasceno, Tambores e Samba is a Samba Reggae and Samba Afro percussion ensemble with deep connections to the Brazilian community in San Francisco, Berkeley, Oakland, and Santa Cruz.

This fundraiser will support AfroBrazilian arts and culture connecting the Bay Area to local communities in Salvador Bahia. Our group is growing, and we need to purchase more instruments so more people can participate! This fundraiser will be used to purchase drums from Bazilian artisans who create batería instruments such as surdos, dobras, repiques, and caixas. Through this connection we aim to spread AfroBrazilian culture and joy here in the Bay Area by continuing Abel Damasceno’s teachings and rehearsals with excellent quality instruments in 2026 and beyond.

Give a little or give a lot, it all adds up, and helps us bring our culture and rhythms, joy and dances to our communities! Next year we’ll even be traveling to other states and countries – stay tuned! 👀👀👀
