Teacher Grants at RFISD

One of the core ways the Education Foundation makes an impact is through funding innovative teacher grants. Each year, teachers across the district submit applications for projects and resources that go beyond what the regular school budget can provide. These grant proposals are carefully reviewed by the Foundation to ensure they align with the mission and vision of the district, as well as our commitment to equity, excellence, and innovation. It’s a responsibility we don’t take lightly—every decision reflects our promise to make the best use of donor dollars for the greatest impact on students. The highlight of the program is the annual Grant Patrol, when board members, donors, and community supporters load buses and make surprise visits to classrooms to award grants in person. The excitement and joy on the faces of teachers and students are powerful reminders of why this work matters. Teacher grants not only equip classrooms with new tools, technology, and experiences, they also bring fresh ideas to life and directly show how every penny raised is put to work for the benefit of students and their futures.
