I'm honored to be running to raise money for the Cornelia de Lange Syndrome Foundation in the 2025 Chicago Marathon! This is my first year running for a charity (after getting in the lottery for 2020, which turned into 2021). I told myself I needed something close to me to run for a charity so that I'd be passionate about it. Well, after a friend repeatedly suggested this, I finally dove in. In 2019, we got lucky enough to meet Ollie and his family, who have become close friends to us. Ollie is an amazing child who was born with CdLS. We have watched him grow up with our kids, smiling through so many triumphs. This is my opportunity to honor him, his family, and help raise awareness for all of the other families who are blessed with a family member with CdLS.
