My youngest daughter was the most vibrant, fun loving soul you would ever meet. She became sick in October of 2023. Almost over night, she became nonverbal, and unable to get out of bed. After months of several ER visits, doctor appointments, and bloodwork, we still didn’t have answers. Finally we found a doctor with some answers. She was diagnosed with PANS/PANDAS and started treatment. She is showing wonderful signs of healing, however, she has a long road ahead of her. I’m participating in this triathlon in honor of her, and to spread awareness of this terrible illness.
