I recently became involved in supporting Elm Community Charter School an amazing school founded by Priscilla Walton, a Queens native, who partnered with the community to open the first elementary charter in one of NYC’s most overcrowded school districts!
I met Priscilla back in 2018, working together to strategize on permanent real estate options for the school and helping her rush to open incubation space in time to welcome the first kindergarten class!
Elm now serves over 400 elementary school students. This campaign has set a goal of raising funds to purchase Macbooks for 5th grade students to utilize for STEM classes and completing standardized testing online.
I am really proud to be involved with Elm and greatly appreciate any support you can offer!
Thank you,
Margot
