Empowering Youth. Connecting Generations. Building Digital Equity in Hawaiʻi
Aloha, my name is Jaffer Dakroub.
At 15, I co-founded Tech Savvy Teens at our homeschool co-op, Kaulike Academy in 2022 because I wanted to create something real—something that helps both kupuna and teens feel more connected, more confident, and more valued.
Since then, my peers and I have volunteered over 1,200 hours, supporting 1,500 kupuna with technology. For me, it’s not just about fixing a phone or setting up a Zoom call—it’s about seeing a kupuna’s face light up when they feel confident using technology on their own.
More than 80% of our teens are Native Hawaiian, and this program helps us build pathways into tech careers while giving back to our elders. With your help, we can keep this going—funding stipends, certifications, devices for kupuna, and even Hawaiʻi’s first youth-led AI Help Desk.
Every dollar you give makes a difference—for a kupuna who feels less isolated, and for a teen like me who gets to serve with aloha while preparing for the future.
Mahalo nui loa for believing in us,
Jaffer Dakroub
