Teen Mentoring & Jr. Leader Sponsorship

 YOUR SUPPORT to Project Hawai’i, Inc. teen mentoring and junior leader programs are crucial for homeless children for several reasons:

1. Residency Program: Providing 4 weeks of housing ensures that  our homeless teens have a safe environment, which is essential for their physical and emotional well-being. 

2. Basic Needs:  Meeting these basic needs is crucial for their health and well-being, allowing them to focus on personal growth and education. We provide full meals, their outfits, personal needs and transportation.

3. Life Skills Development: The workshops and mentoring provided by our community volunteers teach essential life skills such as financial literacy, personal leadership development, and problem-solving. These skills are critical for helping children transition to independent adulthood and break the cycle of homelessness.

4. Social Skills and Support: Mentoring and social activities help children develop interpersonal skills, build self-esteem, and create a sense of community. Positive relationships with mentors and peers can provide emotional support and guidance, which is particularly important for children who may have experienced trauma or instability.

5. Role Models and Inspiration: Volunteer mentors serve as positive role models, demonstrating what is possible through hard work, perseverance, and kindness. They inspire children to set goals and work towards achieving them.

6. Preventing Future Homelessness: By equipping homeless youth with the skills and support they need to succeed, the program helps prevent future instances of homelessness. These children are more likely to become self-sufficient, contributing members of society. Our graduation rate is 90% and going on to further education is 80%. We create the change through your donations.
