The Givebutter platform is completely free for Tesserae to use and allows us to receive the full amount you intend to give. For each transaction, your card company automatically charges a small processing fee (about 3-6%), but Givebutter covers the platform fee. When you arrive at the payment page, you will see a widget to add an "optional tip." This is truly optional and a way to thank Givebutter for providing this service to nonprofit organizations. By clicking on the widget for the tip, then selecting "other," you can change the tip amount to $0.00 or to something other than what is displayed.
