That ROBO Team is a group of seven East Grand Rapids seventh-graders already competing at national and international levels. Last season, they placed in the top 20 at the American Robotics Open Championship (AROC) among more than 50 elite teams.

This year, they raised the bar by winning 1st place in Robot Performance at the Indiana State Championship, earning a spot at The Western Edge in Long Beach, California—where they’ll compete against 90 of the world’s top teams.
