The Adversary is a queer horror-comedy short film. Vowing to spend a day in silent contemplation to rescue himself from malaise, trans writer Seb foists himself between his smoke detector, which manifests a godly intelligence, and his demonically-empowered, puppeteered cat. This slapstick spiritual struggle between puppet and actor dramatizes our relationships with the objects around us, using comedy to crack open the barriers between us and the odd, joyous beauty of the material world.
