The Black Butterfly Scholarship was established in loving memory of Sheila Pettyjohn,

whose life was marked by compassion, generosity, and a deep commitment to helping

others. For more than 50 years, Sheila dedicated herself to uplifting the Folkston, Georgia

community, believing that even the smallest act of kindness could create lasting change.

Your donation directly supports graduating students of Charlton County High School who

are pursuing higher education at Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs).

Through this scholarship, students are given the opportunity to grow, transform, and

achieve their educational goals—just as a butterfly emerges through transformation.
