The Career Closet

The Career Closet at Blackfeet Community College ensures that graduating students can step into their futures with confidence, dignity, and pride. For many of our graduates who are balancing college, work, and family responsibilities, the cost of professional or vocational attire can be a real and immediate barrier to securing employment. The Career Closet removes that barrier, equipping students with funding support for clothing, footwear, tools and essential items they need to present themselves professionally as they transition from graduation into job interviews, the workforce, and long-term careers.

This program was made possible through the visionary generosity of the Morton H. Meyerson Family Foundation, the Steele Reese Foundation, and other private donors who recognized that student success does not end at graduation, it continues into meaningful employment and economic stability. Their investment brought the Career Closet to life, creating a lasting continuously funded resource that directly supports student success and workforce readiness.

Through the Career Closet, graduating students receive support for:

  • Professional attire for job interviews and the workplace

  • Career-specific clothing, footwear, and essential tools aligned with their field

The impact is immediate and deeply personal. As one Early Childhood graduate shared:

“I was in need of professional clothing for work. Most of my clothes were jeans and t-shirts. With me attending college and my children in school, it’s hard to keep up with everything. I am so thankful that this was approved. It helped out so much.”

Programs like the Career Closet ensure that our graduates are not only academically prepared, but fully equipped to succeed. It affirms their hard work, honors their accomplishments, and strengthens their ability to enter the workforce with confidence and purpose.

Your support will sustain and expand this vital initiative. Every contribution directly empowers students to take their next step, not just as graduates of Blackfeet Community College, but as professionals, providers, and leaders who will strengthen their families, communities, and future generations.
