About Catonsville Pride

Catonsville Pride is a celebration of love, identity, and community that helps support safe spaces, local performers, and inclusive experiences for all. It funds investment in safety, belonging, and long-term stability for young people in our care who identify as LGBTQ.

Each year, The Children’s Home creates affirming spaces where youth can show up as their full selves without fear. Catonsville Pride extends that work into the community, bringing together neighbors, partners, and advocates to stand visibly and actively with our residents. Proceeds from the event support specialized programming that strengthens identity development, mental health, and peer connection.

Through Pride-supported initiatives, youth engage in facilitated discussions, creative expression, and skill-building workshops that center self-advocacy, healthy relationships, and resilience. Just as importantly, they experience community in action. They see adults and peers choosing inclusion, respect, and celebration.

These moments translate into measurable outcomes. Increased self-confidence. Stronger social connections. Improved emotional well-being. A deeper sense of safety and belonging.

About The Children’s Home

The Children’s Home (TCH) in Catonsville, Maryland, is a residential care facility that provides both long- and short-term services to youth 13 to 21 years of age who have experienced abuse, neglect, violence, abandonment, and/or are in need of supervised care. Located less than a mile from Baltimore City, TCH provides services to children of every race, creed, color, and religion. We provide therapeutic programs where children feel secure, loved and have a sense of belonging.

The Home’s programs and activities provide an opportunity for the children to attend public schools, develop self-esteem, and experience trusting relationships with peers and adults. Our programs focus on enhancing each child’s ability to function successfully in society with attention to accountability and community safety.
