Juneteenth Fest of the Pee Dee presents it's 3rd annual festival, "The Cookout" a Juneteenth kick off celebration! This year's theme of ARTPORTUNITIES creates a platform to lift up and celebrate the artist in our area who tell our stories for generations to come.

Vendor categories and pricing:

Artist/ Artesian- All items are handmade by vendor. No wholesale/ private label - $20

Retail- Re-sell or non-handmade items.- $30

Food/Beverage- Any food or beverage is sold- $50 All food vendors must have a food truck or trailer and must meet and comply with all codes. You can contact

Vendor Code of Conduct

The Juneteenth Fest Team reserves the sole right to select any and all participants. Applicants will be approved based on product duplication, utility requirements,

and spirit of cooperation.

2. Applications will be processed in the order of date received and must include all fees and other

information that may be required for the application to be considered. An incomplete application will be

removed from consideration.

3. It is the sole responsibility of each food vendor to meet all SC DHEC and the City of Lake City Fire

Department regulations.

4. The vendor is responsible for covering all electrical cords in pedestrian pathways with a Cable Ramp

Protective Cover.

1. Compliance with Laws and Regulations

All vendors must operate in strict accordance with all Federal, State, and Local laws.

Licensing: Vendors must possess a valid South Carolina Retail License and, if applicable, a Lake City Business License.
Health Standards: Food vendors must comply with SCDHEC Regulation 61-25 regarding community festivals. This includes maintaining proper food temperatures and handwashing stations.
Taxes: Vendors are solely responsible for the collection and remittance of South Carolina sales tax (typically 6% plus any local hospitality taxes).

2. Safety and Security

To ensure a safe environment for all attendees, the following security protocols are mandatory:

Right to Search: All vendor booths, vehicles, trailers, and storage containers located on the event grounds are subject to search by event security or local law enforcement at any time.
Prohibited Items: No illegal substances, firearms, or explosives are permitted on-site.
Fire Safety: Cooking vendors must have a visible, up-to-date fire extinguisher in their booth. Tents must meet fire marshal flame-retardant standards.

3. Professional Conduct and Ethics

"The Cookout" is a family-oriented community celebration. Vendors are expected to maintain a high standard of professionalism.

Inclusive Environment: Vendors shall not discriminate against any staff or attendee based on race, religion, color, sex, age, or national origin.
Ethical Sales: Only items approved during the application process may be sold. Counterfeit merchandise or "bootleg" goods are strictly prohibited.
Interactions: Harassment, verbal abuse, or physical intimidation of festival staff, volunteers, or patrons will result in immediate expulsion without a refund.

4. Operational Requirements

Booth Boundaries: All activities, signage, and storage must remain within the assigned 10x10 (or otherwise designated) space.
Waste Management: Vendors are responsible for cleaning their immediate area. Grease and gray water must be disposed of in designated containers; pouring these onto the ground or into storm drains is a violation of state environmental laws.
Load-In/Load-Out: Vendors must adhere to the specific load-in times provided. No vehicles are allowed in the vending area during active festival hours.

5. Failure to Comply

Non-compliance with any part of this Code of Conduct may result in the following:

A formal warning and request for immediate correction.
Closure of the vendor booth for the remainder of the event.
Permanent banning from future Juneteenth Fest of the Pee Dee events.

Note: In the event of a violation leading to removal, no refunds of vendor fees will be issued
