The Craig Stevens Legacy Library Capital Campaign
The Craig Stevens Legacy Library Capital Campaign is a community effort to create something lasting: a library dedicated to preserving the teachings, philosophy, and legacy of Craig Stevens.
Craig spent his life sharing knowledge—helping riders understand horses with greater clarity, feel, and compassion. His teachings influenced countless students and horses, and many of those lessons continue to shape how we work with horses today. This library will ensure that his wisdom is not lost, but instead preserved, shared, and accessible for generations to come.
At the heart of this project is Craig’s own equestrian library. Before he passed, Craig left me his personal collection of books—resources he studied, referenced, and valued throughout his life as a horseman. The Craig Stevens Legacy Library will house this collection so it can continue to educate and inspire others.
The library will be located at the barn where Craig spent some of his final years teaching and mentoring students. Because of that connection, it will not only be a place of learning—it will also be a place of remembrance. A place where riders, students, and horse lovers can come together to study, reflect, and honor the profound impact Craig had on our community.
More than a collection of books, the Craig Stevens Legacy Library will serve as a resource for the community. It will provide access to educational materials connected to Craig’s work and the tradition of classical riding, helping ensure that the knowledge he dedicated his life to sharing continues to guide future generations of riders.
Together, we are creating more than a room of books.
We are creating a place where Craig’s voice, ideas, and influence will continue to inspire riders for years to come.
Through the Craig Stevens Legacy Library Capital Campaign, our community has the opportunity to preserve a legacy, expand access to knowledge, and honor Craig Stevens in the place where his teaching left such a lasting mark.
