The Creative Spark — A Year of Continuity

The Creative Spark is a studio company that exists to support artists, caregivers, and community builders in creating meaningful work without burning out their bodies or their lives.

♥️At the heart of The Creative Spark is ♥️Mitzi Magdaleno, the embodied artist, founder, and steward of this work.

This fundraiser primarily supports Mitzi’s ability to live, create, and lead without burning out her body, family life, or creative spirit. Rather than separating “the artist” from “the company,” The Creative Spark is intentionally designed to honor the truth that visionary work requires human continuity.

Support for ♥️Mitzi includes:

• An aligned, consistent stipend for artistic and organizational stewardship

• Time and space to create, research, and build without crisis pressure

• The ability to care for and be present to her family and precious kiddos and personal well-being while holding this work

• Protection of the creative and relational labor that often goes unseen or uncompensated

• Funds for collaborative work with aligned co-creators 

• Care-centered systems that honor rest, family life, and consent by example

• Tools and infrastructure (including gentle tech) that reduce overwhelm instead of increasing it

• A living alternative to hustle-based creative economies
  

The Garden 🌱 Between Us 2026

A Community Fund for The Creative Spark & The Mitziverse

The Garden Between Us, as this campaign is now officially called, is a community-powered campaign supporting the ongoing stewardship and creative work of artist and ecosystem builder Mitzi Magdaleno.

This campaign allows Mitzi to be fully present to her work, cultivating The Creative Spark ecosystem — a growing network connecting artists, communities, technology, and creative spaces AND being an embodied multi-dimensional artist and performer.

Together, we are planting the seeds of a world where creativity, care, and collaboration are infrastructure.

$+$ NOW FOR THE MATH PART: Campaign funds allocation

ONCE 5K is reached within 30 days (first day is when the first contribution is received):

$150,000 - $5000 (initially received) = $145,000 is BROKEN DOWN into percentages:

• 65% → Stewardship (Mitzi's time, leadership, development)

• 25% → Collaboration Pool, which will be placed into The Creative Spark business account and used in the production of The River Between Us, incorporating artists, videographers, musicians, designers, and project collaborators specifically in connection with The Creative Spark ecosystem. 

• 10% → tools, admin, and infrastructure, which will be placed into The Creative Spark business account.

The Creative Spark is built on a simple idea:

The Specific Project This Garden Supports

The River Between Us - A Live Immersive Show and Film

In addition to supporting Mitzi directly, the funds from this campaign will support the creation of The River Between Us, a film and immersive storytelling project.

This work explores:

• connection between people across distance
• the flow of creativity between communities
• what it means to be both alone and globally connected in the modern world

The project will weave together performance, storytelling, and community participation through the growing Mitziverse ecosystem.

The Growing Ecosystem

As this work develops, the Creative Spark community will begin launching initiatives such as:

🎭 immersive performances like The River Between Us
🌿 small local gardens celebrating native plants and creative gathering spaces
