The La Crosse Lighthouse provides outreach, advocacy, and connection in a home-like environment where people seeking a self-directed path to recovery and wellness can do so with the support of people who have shared similar experiences.

The La Crosse Lighthouse envisions a community where individuals can experience connections with others having similar challenges and witness navigation into a more fulfilled life. We believe supporting others in recovery heals individuals, families, communities, and humanity.

Respite guests are individuals struggling with mental health, substance use recovery and other life interrupting events. Our non-medical, no charge, 1–7-night respite stays are self-referral only with each guest being provided a private lockable room, access to information on local and state resources relevant to their wellness goals and access to peer support 24/7. Group and activity offerings are available to support and explore mutuality and community connection. We are a space to heal, connect, and rest. We act as an alternative to hospitalization or a complement to other clinical supports.

Warmline callers can reach out to a peer supporter 24/7 for connection and mutuality in conversation. Information on resources can be explored as well as different pathways to recovery.
