Why This Matters

Did you know that Black bodies in America age at a faster rate on a cellular level? Public health researchers call this "Weathering." It is the result of the chronic, relentless stress of systemic marginalization, causing our bodies to appear 7 to 10 years biologically older than our chronological age.

When we say we are "tired," it isn't just about sleep, it’s about a physiological toll that has been passed down for generations. At Divine Times Collective, we believe that rest is not a luxury; it is a form of Imagination Reparation.

The Vision: A Sanctuary for Visionaries

This July 31st – August 2nd, we are gathering a village of Black, queer, and trans artists, cultural workers, and visionaries at WildHeart in the Hudson Valley.

We aren't just going to the woods to escape; we are going to repair. Through carpentry workshops with Jaye, plant medicine with Jei, and celestial soundscapes with the legendary Laraaji, we are creating a container to regulate our nervous systems and reconnect with our inner child. We are learning and building the "new ancestral worlds" we deserve to live in.

The Goal: Sponsor the Village

The "Weathering" we face is systemic, so our solution must be communal. We have set a goal of $5,555 to provide full and partial scholarships for those who are in deep need of this sanctuary but face financial barriers.

Your contribution directly funds:

Full Scholarships: Covering lodging, chef-prepared nourishing meals, and all workshops for a "Villager."
Travel Grants: Helping our visionaries get from the city to the lakefront.
Artist Stipends: Ensuring our facilitators and sound residents are honored for their labor in holding this sacred space.

How You Can Help

$50 – The Seed: Provides workshop materials (wood for carpentry, herbs for medicine making).
$150 – The Nourishment: Covers a full weekend of communal, chef-prepared meals for one person.
$500 – The Sanctuary: Sponsors more than half off a weekend stay for a Black queer/trans visionary.
Any Amount: Every dollar goes toward lowering the "biological age" of our community through the power of radical rest.
