About The Reunite Tonight Project

The Reunite Tonight Project is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to helping lost pets find their way home—before they ever enter the shelter system.

Our mission began with one simple question: Why should someone have to wait for a shelter or veterinary clinic to open just to find out if a lost pet has a microchip?

That question inspired us to create free, 24/7 public microchip scanning stations, giving anyone the ability to check a found pet for a microchip at any time of day or night. A simple scan can mean the difference between a pet spending the night in a shelter or sleeping safely back at home with their family.

But we know scanning is only part of the solution.

Many pets entering shelters either aren’t microchipped or have outdated registration information. That’s why we also provide free microchip education courses and sponsor microchip implantation through our veterinary partners, helping families protect their pets before they ever become lost.

Every station we install, every class we teach, and every microchip we sponsor is made possible by the generosity of people who believe every pet deserves the best chance to make it home.

Together, we’re creating stronger communities, reducing unnecessary shelter admissions, and giving families one more chance to reunite when every minute matters.
