Chicago Futures Salon is what happens when senior leaders, artists, civic operators, and academics agree to stop performing certainty and start practicing the harder discipline: imagining what comes next without flinching. Once a month, we gather in rooms that don't appear on any agenda, eat together, drink together, and run provocations designed to break the default future loose from the calendar. Once a year, we detonate The Spectacle. In between, we build.

Your donation funds three things.

The monthly salons. Space. Food. Drink. The actual physical infrastructure of a room where people who would otherwise never share a table do. We keep these intimate, invitation-only, and free to attend. That only works if someone pays for the room.

The magazine. We are building a publication for futures literacy: a quarterly that takes the methods we use in private and makes them legible to anyone willing to think sideways. Surrealism for executives. Situationism for civic leaders. Strategic foresight without the consulting deck. Print and digital. Edited with the same standards the salons demand.

The Futures Innovation Fund. This is the long game. A microgrant pool that funds the provocations, decks, films, experiments, and projects that emerge from salon conversations and from the broader community working on futures literacy. Small bets on strange ideas, made by people who understand that the future does not arrive on a roadmap. We've already produced En L'An 2100, One Into Another, and Exquisite Futures. The Fund makes the next ten possible, and most of them won't be ours.

Why give.

Because the alternative is letting the future be designed by people who only know how to extrapolate. Because Chicago deserves a foresight practice that doesn't live inside a consulting firm. Because every dollar here buys something that doesn't exist anywhere else: a room, a magazine, a fund, all built on the premise that imagination is civic infrastructure.
