For 50 years, Children First / Communities In Schools of Buncombe County has worked alongside students, families, and schools to help ensure every child has the support they need to succeed.

This work has been shaped and sustained by a community of people who chose to stay including partners, educators, advocates, and donors who have shown up, again and again, for children and families across Buncombe County.

Because of that commitment, students found mentors, families found stability, and schools gained trusted support.

On Friday, June 26, we will gather at the NC Arboretum to celebrate this milestone year with supporters, partners, and friends who believe in this work.

The evening will center on connection, reflection, and a shared vision for the future.

As we honor the past 50 years, we are also looking ahead with intention. The needs of children and families continue to evolve, and this work has always depended on a community willing to invest in what comes next.

We are deeply grateful to everyone who has been part of this journey.
