Since our inception as a club at USC in 2017, we’ve hosted more than 75 professionals on our panels and workshops, and we’ve thrown parties, concerts, and jam-sessions to highlight our musicians and create a comfortable social environment for members to continue to connect.

Now that we are a Nonprofit organization, we are looking to spread our mission of positivity and collaboration across the music industry by starting chapters at universities and music hubs across the country.

Collaboration

It’s no secret that the music industry is a tough industry, but there’s no rule that says we can’t all be successful. The FAM values collaboration over competition - emphasizing that everyone you meet can provide value to you.

Access

The music industry is a tough industry to get into, no matter what your experience - it largely comes down to who you know that can provide you opportunities. As one big music industry FAMily, we strive to create endless opportunities for as many aspiring and young professionals as we can.

Mental Healthiness

In a cutthroat industry filled with misogyny, hierarchy, and a ‘what can you do for me?’ mentality — not to mention one of the toughest-hit industries of the last year — there is not enough emphasis on keeping our artists and professionals mentally healthy.

Our philosophy is that bringing positivity and collaboration will lead to a more accessible music industry, more mentally healthy artists and professionals, and ultimately, a more positive experience for our audience.

We are committed to building strong communities that support, encourage, and learn from each other.

By working together to achieve our goals, we can learn from each other’s mistakes, provide opportunities for all, and ultimately, create more success for more people.
