After witnessing yet another unarmed Black person's murder at the hands of police officers, thousands of people swarmed the streets to protest the injustices in America. In the midst of the uprising, many businesses were affected. I appreciate our young people fighting for justice and understand that, unfortunately, there are casualties. That's why I pledged $25,000 to help rebuild Black owned Fashion and Beauty businesses in Chicago with a focus on those that did not have insurance or were denied coverage. Join me in this fight and make a pledge to The fLAWless Fundraiser hosted by Rebuild the Hood, an existing nonprofit/501c3 organization. Together we will accept and review applications and award grants.
