2024 already?! We are so excited for what this year has to offer! In just a short time, our beautiful baby girl will be joining our family and we couldn't be more pumped! We are so grateful for your continued prayers, support and love and hope you and yours are well!

Story Time:

As many of you know, I finished my first pilot license (Private Pilot) in August of 2022 in Washington State at a missions focused flight school. We returned back to Pittsburgh and I began working for Delta airlines to help pay for airplane rentals at a local flight school as I tried to build hours in preparation for my next rating, the instrument rating. The opportunity then opened up in December of 2022 for me to become the Line Service Manager of an Atlantic Aviation FBO here in Pittsburgh. Not only was this more convenient for our family (only 10 minutes from our house), but it also provided a much needed pay increase for our family. In 2023 I flew occasionally, but wasn't able to fly regularly due to the high rental costs in our area ($200/hour). For reference, I will need approximately 180 more hours to complete my flight training, so this price was unrealistic and not financially responsible. I looked for months for opportunities to split plane rentals or a club to join to minimize costs but was not successful. It was discouraging not to be able to fly much, however the end of the year brought great news with Heather being pregnant with our first baby... A GIRL! #girldad That brings us to 2024... I continue to work for Atlantic Aviation and Heather is fazing out of her role with YWAM so she can prepare to bring our girl into this world. (Heather is an absolute boss by the way, shes already killing the mom game!). Back to flying though... I recently was made aware that the local flight club finally had an open share available! Basically a flight club is a group of people that own a share of an airplane to save on costs, but have better availability to aircraft rentals! This particular club has 3 aircraft and 30 members and I had been hoping to join it for months already! It is located on the same airport that I work at, and has aircraft available to fly almost anytime of day. It will allow me to build hours at a much more reasonable cost, while also saving the time of driving to airports out of the city for rentals. The best part is that whenever I am ready to move into aviation ministry, I can simple sell my share to someone else for the same price it was purchased, meaning that the membership fee is really just a refundable deposit! To buy into the club will cost $6500, with a $300 monthly due. For reference, if I flew twice a month at the flight school I was renting from, it cost me around $800/month to only fly 2 times in a month. This club would allow me to fly more, for less! On top of that, the club has certified instructors that can help me achieve my instrument rating right here in their aircraft, for a fraction of what it would cost to go to a local school! This is truly an open door from the Lord, and I can't wait to get started!

The NEED:

This is where you come in! I plan on putting a $500 deposit down to hold the share until it can be officially sold April 1st. At that time, the remaining $6,000 purchase fee and the first months dues ($300) will need to be paid to officially get these planes off the ground! I continue to work full-time to care for our family and pay our bills, however we still intend on utilizing the airplane on the mission field and need your help to achieve these ministry goals! If you partner with us, your money is going towards the cost of the membership share and training costs associated with my instrument rating! We know our family is still called to ministry, this is just a time of training and preparing for me, while also giving us a chance to settle into our new found roles as "Mommy and Daddy" to our soon to arrive baby girl! We need 2 kinds of donors to accomplish this: One time gift donors who will help us reach the initial deposit of $6500, as well as monthly donors who assist us in covering the monthly club dues of $300/month! We are a team, made up of many members, and we all play different roles in the same goal... to reach out to those in need and to serve with the heart of God!
